Notes:
1) You will likely have to drop down in needle size to obtain gauge for baby hats; worked on US size 5 needles, however, the hats will be just right for older children.
2) Clownin' Around: Omit chin strap; add a tri-color pom-pom to crown.
3) Petal Princess: Knit two extra "petals" in green. Sew these to the underside as earflaps and knit the I-cord down for ties.
4) Models shown were worked in Jamieson's Shetland DK.

Tip: Wool makes the very warmest hats, but can be irritating to sensitive skin. To cure the "itchies," hand wash with mild soap, then add cream rinse (the kind sold for your hair!) to the final rinse.
