Make a flattering, larger size poncho from any of our poncho patterns. Here's
how:
Easy Eyelet Poncho
Yardage required for this larger size: 650 yds.
Knit at a larger gauge (3 sts / inch). I used US size 10 (6mm) needles. Work as
instructed until there are 180 sts on the needle. Reserve the center 72 sts for the
neckband (24"), and finish as instructed.
Condo Poncho Olé
Yardage required for this larger size: 750 yds.
For each of the two panels, cast on 45 sts and work for 34". Finish as instructed.
Niña Grows Up
Yardage required for this larger size: 700 yds.
To make an adult size version of Niña, follow the instructions given for the largest
size. Work several additional increases at shoulders. Continue increasing at front
and back until poncho measures 24 to 25" long at front and back. Then finish as
instructed.
